Johnson to miss Wales' clash with Montenegro

Mon 14 October 2024, 14:00|Tottenham Hotspur

In scintillating form for club and country, Brennan Johnson will not play in Wales' UEFA Nations League match with Montenegro tonight.

The forward, who is on a quite incredible run of scoring seven goals in his last seven games for both us and his national team, will miss the clash with the eastern European nation after he picked up his second yellow card of Wales' Nations League campaign in Friday's draw with Iceland.

The accumulation of those yellow cards has earned him an automatic one-match suspension and thus Brennan shall be unavailable for selection for the fixture at the Cardiff City Stadium (kick-off 7.45pm).

The winger now has 31 caps and four goals to his name in Welsh colours.
