Callum Olusesi has been named in the England Under-18s squad for the first time.
The talented midfielder, 17, has been a regular for the Young Lions at Under-17 level, but has now been drafted into the national Under-18s set-up ahead of this month’s matches against Sweden and either the Netherlands or Ukraine in Marbella.
Still technically young enough to play for our Under-18s as he’s in his second year of full-time football, central midfielder Callum has starred for – and even captained on a couple of occasions – our Under-21s so far this term.
Callum’s close friend and team-mate Mikey Moore has once again been named in the England Under-19s squad along with Leo Black for matches against Portugal, the Netherlands and France – also in Marbella.
Luca Gunter, Will Lankshear and the on-loan duo of Ashley Phillips and Dane Scarlett, meanwhile, are in the Elite League (Under-20s) squad to take on Italy and Czech Republic.
In the England Under-21s set-up, Archie Gray has been named in the squad for European Under-21 Championship qualifiers against Ukraine and Azerbaijan.
