Feeney called up by Northern Ireland Under-17s

George Feeney has been named in the Northern Ireland Under-17s squad for their upcoming trio of European Championship qualifiers.

The former Glentoran starlet, who joined our Academy this year and has been a regular for our Under-18s this term, is in the group for matches against Scotland, Republic of Ireland and Lithuania, with all games set to be held at Seaview Stadium in Belfast.

They face Scotland today (Tuesday 29 October, 3pm), before taking on the Republic of Ireland at 6pm on Friday (1 November).

They’ll then meet Lithuania on Monday 4 November, kick-off 3pm.

George has represented both Wales and Northern Ireland at youth level to date.
