Tottenham HotspurAnge Postecoglou gave us some positive team news after our 3-2 loss against Galatasaray in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night.
It was a demanding night, physically, where we played with 10 men for the final 30 minutes, and still pushed the Turkish champions back in the latter stages as we pushed for an unlikely equaliser.
With a number of players out - Cristian Romero, Richarlison, Micky van de Ven, Wilson Odobert, Mikey Moore, Timo Werner - and the physical nature of the game in Istanbul, attention turned to the visit of Ipswich Town to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday (2pm UK).
Did the players get through this one okay? “Yeah, I think so,” said Ange. “We made some substitutions at half-time, but everyone was fine and as far as I know, everyone has got through unscathed, and we’ll be ready for Sunday.”
