Cristian Romero has been ruled out of our Premier League trip to Manchester City on Saturday (5.30pm UK), confirmed Ange Postecoglou.

The defender sustained a recurrence to the foot injury that he picked up against Aston Villa earlier this month during Argentina's World Cup qualifier on Thursday last week and was substituted at half-time before returning home for the birth of his second child on Wednesday.

Our Head Coach yesterday revealed Cuti was a doubt for the league encounter this weekend and has now said the centre-back will miss our trip to the Etihad but is targeting a return next week.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference at Hotspur Way on Friday, Ange said: "Romero won't be right for tomorrow's game. We're hoping he'll be right for next week."
