Team news from Ipswich | No new injury concerns for McKenna
Fri 08 November 2024, 16:10|Tottenham Hotspur
Kieran McKenna will return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with no fresh injury concerns for his Ipswich Town side as we meet in the Premier League for the first time since January, 2002 on Sunday (2pm UK).
Indeed, it will be the Suffolk side's first competitive visit to our new stadium and a first in the Premier League since 22 December, 2001 - a few months before McKenna joined our Academy as a first year scholar for the 2002/03 season.
After a stint coaching back in our Academy, then onto Manchester United, McKenna was appointed Ipswich boss in 2021 and now, after successive promotions, returns to N17 for the first time as a manager in his own right.
Speaking to the media on Friday, and asked about team news, McKenna said: "There are no new injury concerns ahead of this weekend’s game, and the boys coming back from injuries are progressing well."
That means Town have four notable absentees - Axel Tuanzebe, Jacob Greaves, Jack Taylor and Dara O'Shea.
