Wed 27 November 2024, 23:06|Tottenham Hotspur

It’s matchday five in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night as we welcome Serie A giants AS Roma to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

We’re currently seventh in the league stage standings with nine points from a possible 12, while our visitors from Italy are 20th on five points after a win, two draws and a defeat from their first four games in the new-look competition.

Here’s all the key info you need to know ahead of our latest European night under the lights...

What time is kick-off against AS Roma?

Thursday’s match starts at 8pm UK time.

How can I watch the game?

The match will be televised live in the UK on TNT Sports 1.

As always, live text and audio commentary, stats, live photos and more can all be found via our Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app.

You can also keep up to date via the home page of the app.

What is the team news?

Cristian Romero remains sidelined for Thursday’s clash, having missed two of our last three matches after picking up an ankle issue against Aston Villa on 3 November.

Fellow centre-back Micky van de Ven (hamstring) is also still out, with goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario having this week joined the injury list after undergoing surgery on a fractured ankle.

Wilson Odobert, Richarlison and Mikey Moore remain out, while Will Lankshear is suspended following his red card against Galatasaray in our last match in this competition.

Djed Spence and Sergio Reguilon are ineligible to feature in the Europa League but Rodrigo Bentancur is available as his suspension only applies to domestic fixtures.

Forward Eldor Shomurodov is out for Roma with a muscle injury while Mario Hermoso (muscle) and Alexis Saelemaekers (ankle) are doubtful.

Who is the referee?

Swedish referee Glenn Nyberg will take charge of Thursday’s game, with Mahbod Beigi and Andreas Söderkvist as his assistants.

The fourth official will be Adam Ladebäck.

VAR duties will be carried out by Pol van Boekel and Clay Ruperti.

What colours will the teams be playing in?

As is traditional in European competition, we’ll be wearing an all-white variation of our home kit, with our goalkeeper in yellow.

AS Roma will arrive in a primarily maroon kit with gold trim, while their keeper will wear pink.

What will the weather conditions be like?

It’s due to stay dry in north London on Thursday, but it’ll be cold. Temperatures will be as low as three degrees during the game.

How can I get the matchday programme and what’s included?

Although he’s unfortunately undergone surgery this week and therefore won’t feature against Roma, goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario is the cover star of Thursday’s official matchday programme. He speaks about his time at the club so far inside, while Ange Postecoglou provides us with his latest exclusive programme column. Available at the usual £4, copies can be purchased around the stadium or online here for delivery direct to your door.

What is the travel information if I’m going to the game?
