Heung-Min Son notched up his 50th senior international goal for South Korea during their 3-1 victory over Kuwait in World Cup qualifying on Thursday afternoon.
Captain of club and country, Sonny netted from the penalty spot in the 19th minute to put his side 2-0 up – a strike that saw him become only the third player ever to hit a half-century for his nation.
It means he’s now nine goals away from becoming South Korea’s outright all-time top scorer and, with 130 appearances under his belt, is seven games away from becoming their most-capped player.
