Solanke retains place in England squad

Dominic Solanke has once again been named in the England Men's national team squad ahead of the November internationals.

Recalled to the Three Lions squad for the October internationals, Dom picked up his second cap for his nation in their 2-1 defeat to Greece at Wembley, coming on as a second half substitute - that ended a period of nigh on seven years between caps for the forward after earning his first in November, 2017.

This month, England will round off their Nations League campaign. They face a trip to group leaders Greece on Thursday 14 November (7.45pm UK) knowing the game is near enough a must-win if they are to earn automatic promotion back to League A.

They will then take on the Republic of Ireland at Wembley on Sunday 17 November (5pm UK) in their final match in the group.

Currently sitting in second spot, if they remain come full-time in their clash with the Republic, they will seal a place in the promotion play-offs in which the runners up from each League B group will battle for a single place in League A against the third-place finishing teams in the higher league. Those matches shall be played in March, 2025.
