Ben Davies has been elected onto the Professional Footballers’ Association's (PFA) new Players’ Board.
The PFA confirmed on Monday the 10 players for the Players Board, which acts as the ‘voice of the changing room’ in the running of the PFA. They will be joined by three former players.
Ben, 31, is the longest-serving player on our current staff, having joined us from Swansea in July, 2014. Since then, he's made 335 appearances for us in all competitions, moving him to joint 31st (with David Howells) in our all-time appearance list. He's third on our all-time European appearance list with 68.
Meanwhile, he's earned 90 caps for Wales, proudly representing his country in the 2020 UEFA finals and 2022 World Cup.
Ben is joined by Omar Beckles, William Boyle, Lucy Bronze MBE, Adam Chicksen, Conor Coady, Steve Cook, Donervon Daniels, Tim Krul and Kim Little MBE.
PFA CEO, Maheta Molango, said: "The Players’ Board plays a vital role for the PFA, reflecting the views of our members and ensuing that we, as the players’ union, are working on the issues that are important to them.
“There are so many players who have a lot to offer to the game and to the PFA, and who care about and value the work we do. The Players’ Board is a really important channel to get those members involved, and I’m really looking forward to working with them.”
