Already 1-0 up thanks to Timo Werner's goal from Dejan Kulusevski's pass on the counter, Deki was involved again as we doubled our lead on 28 minutes. This time, the Sweden playmaker took a quick corner with Timo, got the ball back and then rolled into Pape, who started his shot wide of the target, the curl on his effort bringing it back just inside the post. It was such a clever strike, using the packed penalty area from the corner to make it difficult for City goalkeeper Stefan Ortega.
It ended 2-1 in N17, and we now take on City's Manchester rivals United in the quarter-finals, back on home soil on Thursday 19 December (8pm UK).
