As the Club for dog lovers, we are featuring a ‘Dog of the Match’ at every home game throughout the season.
Members of Tottenham Hotspaw – our first-ever Official Supporters’ Club for dog lovers – have been posting pictures of their beloved pets on the group’s Facebook page for a chance for them to be featured on the stadium big screens ahead of kick-off and in the matchday programme.
The ‘Dog of the Match’ for tomorrow night’s match against AS Roma is Poppy – a 16-month old staffy bulldog rescued by Sam Wickham from All Dogs Matter last Christmas having not had the best start in life. With the help of 1-1 training, Poppy has since come along in leaps and bounds - she’s a gorgeous friendly girl, loves people and is great with other dogs. She loves her walks, chew toys, playing with water and playing fetch in the garden.
Alongside our ‘Dog of the Match’, we also profile rescue dogs currently up for adoption with All Dogs Matter – the fantastic charity partner of Tottenham Hotspaw - giving fans the chance to provide a forever home so badly needed.
Tomorrow night, we are featuring George – a gorgeous Greyhound looking for a home after being retired from racing. This wonderful boy is full of life, loves to play and enjoys his daily walks. As a typical Greyhound, he loves a stroll around the park and then snoozing on the sofa for the rest of the day. He will need a home with direct access to the garden where he can run around off lead. He is well suited to a first-time dog owner, will make a great companion in the right home and could possibly live with a similar sized dog.
