The Club participated in a landmark conference hosted by the European Club Association (ECA) at the 29th UN Conference of the Parties (COP29) in Baku, dedicated to addressing climate change through the power of football.

This pivotal event, co-presented by the COP29 Presidency and co-hosted by Qarabağ FK, underscored ECA’s and its clubs’ commitment to environmental sustainability, placing its members at the forefront of international climate discussions.

The conference highlighted football's capacity to lead by example and inspire collective action in tackling climate change, with the Club’s Sustainability Manager, Marcus Parry, participating in a panel discussion alongside representatives from Real Betis Balompié and Udinese Calcio.

The event culminated with the formal signing of a Declaration establishing the Football Clubs Alliance for Climate, of which Tottenham Hotspur is a member alongside Atlético de Madrid, Fenerbahçe SK, Flamengo, Galatasaray SK, Liverpool FC, Malmö FF, Porto FC, Real Betis Balompié and Udinese Calcio.

As the Premier League’s greenest club, Tottenham Hotspur is committed to minimising the environmental impact of its operations, with a net zero target of 2040.

A wide range of sustainable measures include:

  • 100% renewable electricity, backed by REGO certificates
  • Zero waste to landfill
  • The elimination of single-use plastic water bottles
  • A reusable beer cup scheme for events
  • Food produce sourced within a 60-mile radius of the stadium, with plant-based options offered throughout
  • Training delivered for players and staff

In September, 2021, Tottenham Hotspur staged the first ever net zero match at an elite level, in partnership with Sky, with emissions from a London derby match with Chelsea offset into a reforestation project in East Africa and a local tree planting initiative in Tottenham.

Earlier this year, the Club achieved certification to ISO 20121 standard for sustainable event management – a global beacon for sustainable event management, guiding organisations to seamlessly integrate sustainability into every facet of their event planning and execution
