Timo Werner has explained how he found Spurs the perfect fit following his loan move from RB Leipzig in January.
In a deal announced on Tuesday, the flying winger will now rejoin us on loan from the Bundesliga side for the 2024/25 season, with an option to make the deal permanent.
Timo, 28, claimed an assist on his debut in the 2-2 draw at Old Trafford and made 14 appearances for us in 2023/24 - 13 in the Premier League, one in the FA Cup. He contributed goals against Brentford and Villa and three assists in those 13 appearances in the Premier League before a hamstring issue ended his season early in May.
The players are all very kind, so that made it easy for me. I feel very good here. I like it a lot
Timo told us: "I see how good the club is, how good we are as a team and also, my perspective in the team, it makes it a really good place to stay. When I got the call from the manager, it was clear for me that he is a person who is 100 per cent behind you if he wants you and that was, for me, in this moment, the most important thing.
"Also, the idea how he wanted to play and how he explained it to me fits very well with me. The players are all very kind, so that made it easy for me. I feel very good here. I like it a lot."
