Team news | Spurs vs Chelsea (WSL) | Duo unavailable for London derby

Tue 14 May 2024, 14:30|Tottenham Hotspur

Becky Spencer and Molly Bartrip have been ruled out of our Barclays Women’s Super League clash with Chelsea at Brisbane Road on Wednesday evening (7.15pm UK).

Robert Vilahamn confirmed that Becky picked up a knock in Sunday’s defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup Final and will miss the penultimate game of the season, but he hopes to have the Jamaica international back in training later in the week ahead of our fixture with West Ham United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday - tickets remain available!

He also said that Molly will also be unavailable for Wednesday’s night fixture against Emma Hayes' side due to illness in the week.

“Becky got a knock in a duel in the first half against Manchester United, so she can’t play tomorrow but she will, hopefully, be training later this week,” he told the media in his pre-match press conference on Tuesday afternoon.

“Molly was sick this morning (Tuesday) so she won’t be in the squad either but, otherwise, everyone else is ready to go.”

Tickets for the clash with the Blues are no longer available and supporters are advised to not travel to Brisbane Road if you don’t have a ticket.
