Team news | Chelsea vs Spurs | Davies out for the rest of the season

Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that it is likely Ben Davies will miss the rest of the season.

The defender, who returned to our starting line-up in Sunday's north London derby, picked up a calf injury in an all-action display.

And, with just five games to go, it is expected that issue will now see him out for the rest of our matches.

Speaking to SPURSPLAY ahead of his press conference as we look ahead to Thursday's clash with Chelsea, Ange said: "Unfortunately, Ben Davies picked up a calf issue which will probably rule him out for the rest of (our) games."

That news followed the confirmation that Timo Werner is also expected to miss the rest of the campaign with a hamstring issue, having been forced off with an issue in Sunday's clash with Arsenal.

Timo and Ben join long-term absentees Destiny Udogie (quadriceps), Manor Solomon (knee), Fraser Forster (foot) and Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring).
