Martha Thomas was on target and provided an assist as Scotland secured a 4-1 win over Israel in their UEFA Euro 2025 qualifier in Glasgow on Friday night.

The forward, who was also celebrating her 28th birthday, helped provide the opener at Hampden Park as she delivered a wonderful ball into the box and was met by Claire Emslie at the back post to direct the ball into the back of the net.

Martha also played a part in their second goal of the evening as her initial attempt struck the post, but Kirsty Hanson was there to poke it home from close range, before Emsile grabbed their third before the first half had ended.

The hosts were awarded a penalty just after the hour mark and Martha stepped up to take the spot-kick, confidently firing her effort into the bottom left corner to wrap up the victory, despite a late consolation goal from Israel in the closing stages.

That results sees Scotland continue their unbeaten start in Euro 2025 qualifiers, with two wins and one draw, and are currently top of their qualifying group, consisting of Serbia, Slovakia and Israel.

The two sides will meet once again on Tuesday 4 June (3pm UK) as Scotland travel to Budapest, Hungary, for the away fixture.
