Amy James-Turner is back in contention for Sunday’s historic clash against Manchester United in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup Final (2.30pm UK).
The experienced defender missed our trip to Everton last weekend after picking up a slight issue but, speaking in his pre-match press conference on Thursday (9 May), Robert Vilahamn confirmed that Amy returned to training this week and could be available for selection.
He also outlined that there’s no further issues heading into our first-ever appearance in a major final under the arch at Wembley Stadium.
However, midfielder Grace Clinton, who is on loan from United, will be ineligible to face her parent club.
“Everybody trained this afternoon (Thursday 9 May) and trained the whole session, so everybody is ready for Wembley,” Robert said when asked about the latest team news.
Asked about having Amy back for Sunday’s game, he replied with: “She has been one of the best players in the last couple of months, so it’s very good to have her back as she has been so important for us.”
