It was a season to remember for Jessica Naz and the forward recalls some of her favourite moments from a historic campaign.

Reaching the Women’s FA Cup Final for the first time in our history, finishing inside the top six in the Barclays Women’s Super League for only the second time, while securing our first-ever win over Arsenal, there were plenty of moments to pick out in a memorable campaign for the Club.

And it was also one of Jess’ best season to date as she became an integral part of Robert Vilahamn’s side throughout this term, featuring in every WSL game this season, starting in 10.

The 23-year-old netted seven goals and registered four assists in all competitions – her best goalscoring return in a campaign so far in her career – including scoring the equaliser in the Women’s FA Cup Semi-Final against Leicester City at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

After putting pen to paper on a new contract last week (Friday 24 May), she was posed with the question to name her favourite goal from the campaign.

“I would probably have to go with the one at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, against Leicester City, to help put us through to the FA Cup Final,” she answered.

“We were behind at the time, however we just stuck to the game plan and I was literally blowing, but I thought, one chance, all I need is one chance to put it away, the stadium erupted, and gave us the extra energy to go and win it."

On her highlight from the season, she said: “I would definitely have to say Wembley, the occasion, playing in front of so many supporters, and, I think, the journey to even get to there, we dug deep and fought from behind to beat Manchester City on penalties.

“The opportunity to win a trophy for the Club was such a big thing and what we achieved throughout the campaign was crazy.”
