Charlotte Grant named in latest Australia squad

Charlotte Grant has been in selected in Australia’s squad for their upcoming international friendlies in May and June.

The Matildas begin their preparations for this summer’s Olympic games with a double-header against China PR, facing the defending AFC Women’s Asia Cup champions on Friday 31 May (11.10am UK) in Adelaide, marking their first game in South Australia in five years.

Three days later, the two nations will face off again at Accor Stadium in Sydney (10.40am UK) in their final game before heading out to Paris for the Olympic games, with the squad set to be named in early June.

‘Charli’, who made 14 appearance since joining the Lilywhites in January, will look to add to the 24 caps to her name so far.

 

Elsewhere, in Europe, Martha Thomas was named back in the Scotland national squad ahead of their UEFA EURO 2025 qualifier games against Israel, facing them at home on Friday 31 May (7.05pm UK) before the two sides clash four days later (3pm UK).

Barbora Votikova also received a call-up to the Czech Republic squad for their EURO 2025 qualifier, facing Belgium in a double-header on Friday 31 May (5.30pm UK) and, then four days later, travelling Daio Wasabi Stayen (7pm UK).
