Pedro Porro's thunderbolt against Burnley in the FA Cup in January has been named Goal of the Season by our Official Supporters' Clubs (OSC).
The defender's rocket to win the third round tie at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium took the vote from six contenders at the OSC awards night on Friday evening - with votes taken from our 540 OSCs across the globe.
We'd had the better of the tie - 16 shots to Burnley's 10, 7-1 on target - but time was starting to run out when Pedro struck his decisive blow.
With 78 minutes on the clock, Burnley goalkeeper Arijanet Muric looked for a quick pass to Zeki Amdouni but Pedro was onto him in a flash, winning the ball before advancing a few yards and hitting a right-foot screamer that flew into the top corner.
The strike drew praise from Ange Postecoglou, who was right behind the effort from his position pitchside. "The goal was special, and I probably had the best view in the house," he said. "As soon as it left his boot it was going in. Credit to Pedro. He’s been outstanding for us this year."
