Villa vs Spurs | How to watch, team news, kit colours, key information

Sat 09 March 2024, 21:52|Tottenham Hotspur

It’s a huge battle in the race for the top four when we travel to take on Aston Villa on Sunday lunchtime (kick-off 1pm UK).

The hosts currently occupy fourth spot while we’re one place and five points behind, but victory for us would close that gap to just two points with a game in hand – it’s all to play for!

Here’s all you need to know ahead of the match...

How can I watch the game?

Sunday’s match will be televised live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event, with national radio commentary available on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Kick-off is at 1pm UK time – overseas broadcast listings are available here.

Remember, you can also follow all the action via our Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app, where you’ll find live text updates and audio commentary, images, stats and so much more.

Video highlights will be available on SPURSPLAY from two hours after the game, with a full match replay available from midnight on the same platform.

What is the team news?

Pedro Porro is back in the frame for us after missing our last two matches through injury.

Richarlison (knee), Fraser Forster (foot fracture), Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) and Manor Solomon remain out.

As for Villa, Jacob Ramsey will be assessed after missing their Europa Conference League draw away to Ajax on Thursday over a foot issue.

Pau Torres is expected to feature after returning from injury with a 45-minute stint in the Netherlands.

Our former defender Clement Lenglet could play against us after establishing himself as a regular starter for Villa in recent weeks.

Who is the referee?

Chris Kavanagh will referee Sunday’s clash at Villa Park.

His assistants will be Simon Bennett and Dan Robathan, with Darren Bond as the fourth official.

Tim Robinson will be on VAR duty, assisted by Darren Cann.

What colours will the teams be playing in?

Aston Villa will wear their usual claret and blue shirts with white shorts and light blue socks.

Their goalkeeper will wear all black.

We’ll also be in our home kit at Villa Park – all-Lilywhite shirts, shorts and socks.

Our keeper will wear yellow.

What will the weather conditions be like?

It’s due to rain on Sunday afternoon, with temperatures at around eight degrees at Villa Park.
