Grace Clinton has been selected by England ahead of their UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 qualifying fixtures against Sweden and Republic of Ireland in April.
The creative midfielder has seven goal involvements (four goals and three assists) in 16 Barclays Women’s Super League appearances and, most recently, teed up Bethany England for her goal against Bristol City at the weekend.
The 20-year-old, who made history as the first player to earn a maiden call-up into the senior Lionesses’ ranks while playing for us back in October, has again been rewarded by the England boss Sarina Wiegman this morning (Tuesday 26 March) as they begin their Euro 2025 qualifying campaign with a home tie against Sweden at Wembley on Friday 5 April before heading to Dublin to face Republic of Ireland four days later.
Clinton made her debut for the Lionesses in their impressive 7-2 win over Austria last time out and netted her first-ever senior international goal within 19 minutes of her first start before playing over 60 minutes in their 5-1 victory over Italy just a few days later.
Full details of all our international call-ups will be confirmed next week ahead of the start of the latest women’s international window.
