Spurs in Melbourne | Scott and Mile attend launch of Global Football Week
Tue 19 March 2024, 10:00|Tottenham Hotspur
Scott Munn and Mile Jedinak attended the official launch of Melbourne's Global Football Week on Tuesday morning, local time, ahead of our post-season friendly match against Newcastle United in May.
Announced here in the UK on Monday evening, we take on the Toon at Melbourne's iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Wednesday 22 May, kick-off 7.45pm local time.
It means a return 'home' for Ange Postecoglou, who played (1978-1993) and managed South Melbourne (1996-2000) before a later season in charge of Melbourne Victory (2012/13) and then four years as Head Coach of Australia.
Mile, Ange's captain with the Socceroos and now his Assistant Coach at Spurs, joined Scott, our Chief Football Officer, at the special launch event at Tennis HQ in Melbourne's Olympic Park, where they were joined by dignitaries including Australia’s Minister for Sports and Tourism, Steve Dimopoulos, and APL Independent Chair, Stephen Conroy.
Tickets for our fixture against Newcastle United will go on sale via Ticketek from 12pm on Thursday 28 March (local time in Melbourne, 1am in UK) and will be priced from $59AUD.
Pre-sale tickets will be available from 9am on Monday 25 March (local time in Melbourne, Sunday 24 March at 10pm in UK). Sign up via the webpage to get pre-sale access.
