Brennan Johnson was on target as Wales secured a 4-1 win over Finland in their Euro 2024 qualification play-off semi-final in Cardiff on Thursday night.
The forward, who started along with Ben Davies and on-loan Joe Rodon, won the free-kick which led to Neco Williams scoring Wales’ second goal of the night, before tapping in from close range 90 seconds after half-time to make it 3-1.
Ben subsequently headed the ball into the net, but his effort was ruled out for offside after fellow defender Joe was deemed to have been offside and interfering with play.
David Brooks and Dan James were also on the scoresheet for the hosts, while Teemu Pukki replied for Finland.
The result means Wales advance to Tuesday’s play-off final, where they’ll face Poland in Cardiff for a place at this summer’s tournament.
Ben and Joe completed the full game on Thursday, with Brennan substituted 17 minutes from time.
