A memorable month for Leo Black has just got better after he has been selected for England at youth level for the very first time.
Only ten days on from putting pen to paper on his first professional contract with the Club, the 18-year-old's strong showing at Academy level this season has now earned him a first-ever call-up to the England Under-18 squad.
The young defender has been a mainstay for our Under-18s so far this term, showing his versatility to switch from his previous midfield position to an inverted right full-back role and stepping up to captain the side, and also made his debut at Under-21 level in our 1-0 win over Bristol City in the Premier League Cup at the end of January.
Leo will join up with the 22-player Young Lions squad for their camp out in Spain later this month ahead of fixtures against Czech Republic, Germany and the Netherlands across six days as part of the Under-18 Pinatar Super Cup.
First up is Czechia on Wednesday 20 March, then Germany on Friday 22 March and concluding with the Netherlands on Monday 25 March, with all games kicking off at midday (UK) at the Pinatar Arena in Murcia.
