Vicky Jepson graduates from UEFA Pro Licence course

Senior Assistant Head Coach Vicky Jepson celebrated becoming one of the latest UEFA Pro Licence graduates on Wednesday (5 June) evening.

Vicky was one of 24 coaches being recognised as a new UEFA Pro Licence graduate at the National Football Museum in Manchester and is one of 17 female coaches to have completed the course with the Football Association.

A course that took 18 months of hard work and dedication, where it focused on leadership in the modern game, she has balanced it alongside her responsibilities as Senior Assistant Head Coach for the Club, where she was appointed into that role last summer.

Reflecting on her journey with the course, she said: “My experience on this 18-month course has been incredible.

“The journey took us through a variety of challenges, I remember the first block where we had to perform a Les Mis performance which made us vulnerable and took us out of our comfort zone, I think every block has done that and it makes you reflect on it’s okay to be vulnerable and it’s okay to feel uncomfortable.

“We work in a fast-paced industry that’s demanding, with a lot of scrutiny, and that’s okay.”

Vicky joined us as Assistant Coach in 2021 and, in March, 2023, she was appointed Interim Head Coach for the remainder of the 2022/23 campaign, leading us to secure our survival in the Barclays Women’s Super League at the time.

Being appointed as a Senior Assistant Head Coach in July, 2023, she has worked alongside Robert Vilahamn, helping to embed his attacking philosophy at the Club, while also aiding the developing of our young players as they seek to progress to senior level.
