Charlotte Grant was a second half substitute in Australia’s 2-0 win over China in their final international friendly ahead of this summer’s Olympic games.
The defender replaced Ellie Carpenter in the closing stages of the game at Accor Stadium in Sydney, Australia, in front of 76,798 supporters – the biggest-ever crowd for a Matildas match on home soil.
Clare Wheeler gave the hosts lead just a minute after the break before Hayley Raso doubled their advantage just before the hour break, securing an important win in their final preparation game before they head out to Paris next month for the Olympics.
Shuang Wang started a second consecutive game for China and completed 82 minutes, being replaced by Cong Yuan.
