Bühler, Summanen, Thomas start in Tuesday night’s internationals

A number of our players were in action on Tuesday evening as the final set of fixtures for the latest international window came to an end, with UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 qualifiers and friendlies taking place.

Luana Bühler started and completed 90 minutes as Switzerland suffered their first loss of their EURO 2025 qualifiers, falling to a 1-0 defeat to Hungary in Budapest. Emoke Papai handed the hosts the lead in the final quarter of the match before Ramona Bachmann missed a spot-kick in the fourth minute of injury time.

Forward Martha Thomas continued her excellent goalscoring form for Scotland in this international break as she netted four goals in their 5-0 win over Israel, making it five goals in two games for her country - eight in four appearances in 2024.

Eveliina Summanen and Olga Ahtinen helped Finland to an impressive point against Netherlands at Tammelan Stadion.
