June international fixtures for our players

The countdown to this summer’s major international tournaments is edging closer, with some of our players in action for their respective nations in preparation as well as others involved elsewhere in fixtures this month.

With Euro 2024 kicking off on Friday 14 June, nations competing in the European Championship finals have friendlies on the agenda before all eyes turn to the showpiece event in Germany.

Micky van de Ven and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg have both been confirmed in final squads for the Netherlands and Denmark respectively, with the young centre-back involved in his first major international tournament. England’s James Maddison, Italy’s Guglielmo Vicario and Romania's Radu Dragusin are all in provisional lists to feature in upcoming friendly games, with the Euros registration deadline for 26-player squads set for 7 June.

This summer also sees the 48th edition of the Copa America as the United States of America play host for the second time. Argentine duo Cristian Romero and Giovani Lo Celso have been provisionally called up, with the defending champions opening the tournament against Canada on Friday 21 June. Uruguay’s Rodrigo Bentancur is part of the travelling squad for a friendly against Mexico with La Celeste's final announcement still to come ahead of the tournament.

Elsewhere, both South Korea’s Heung-Min Son and Senegal’s Pape Matar Sarr have important 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in their respective continents. On the youth international stage, Lucas Bergvall is set to face Dane Scarlett as Sweden Under-21s take on England's Elite League Squad (Under-20s) in Croatia.
