Internationals | Vic earns second cap for Italy, Radu starts for Romania

Wed 05 June 2024, 14:30|Tottenham Hotspur

Guglielmo Vicario and Radu Dragusin kept clean sheets as Italy and Romania continued preparations for UEFA EURO 24 on Tuesday evening.

Earning his second cap for the Azzurri, Vic, outstanding and ever present for us in his debut campaign in the Premier League last term, had a quiet night in goal as Turkey registered two shots on target at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara in Bologna. However, it was the same at the other end with Italy also managing two efforts on target as it ended goalless.

Next up for Vic and Italy, a final friendly before the tournament against Bosnia & Herzegovina on Sunday.

Meanwhile, central defender Radu also had a quiet night as Romania and Bulgaria played out a goalless draw at Steaua Stadium, Bucharest. That was Radu's 16th cap and he's due back in action with another friendly against Liechtenstein on Friday.

At the other end of the pitch, Troy Parrott grabbed a late winner for the Republic of Ireland against Hungary - more on that here...
