Who is your favourite actor?

"I really like to watch Alvaro Morte, he plays The Professor in the TV series ‘La casa de papel’ - ‘Money Heist’ in English! He’s very good and his character is excellent."

Who was your football idol growing up?

"I used to enjoy watching the Real Madrid player Isco when I was young and also Andres Iniesta, two very good players."

Who is the best dancer at the club?

"Ah, maybe I think it is Yves Bissouma, he has some very good moves when he dances in the dressing room."

Who is the most skilful in the squad?

"Me, of course! No, I’m just joking! I think it is very difficult to pick just one player because many of the squad are very skilful. The best are probably James Maddison, Yves Bissouma and Gio Lo Celso."

Where did you grow up?

"I come from the region of Extremadura in Spain, not too far from Sevilla. It’s a very nice part of the country."

Where do you prefer to go – beach or city?

"I think it would have to be the beach - you can just relax, not think about football, perfect."

Where did you make your professional debut?

"My first game as a professional was when I was at Girona, we played away to Levante in the Copa del Rey. I think I was only 17 and I came on for the last 10 minutes but it is a memory I will never forget, playing my first-ever professional game."

Where is your favourite restaurant?

"My favourite in London is definitely Novikov in Mayfair. It has two different restaurants inside, one Italian and the other Asian and I like the Asian one because it does amazing sushi which I love."

How many times have you played for your country’s senior side?

"I have played three times for Spain so far and it’s always a very proud moment to play for your country. The first time was against Georgia away on 28 March 2021 and I just remember it made me very happy to play for the national team."

How do you like your eggs in the morning?

"For me, I like to have an omelette for breakfast with bread and avocado."

How many pets do you have?

"I don’t have any here but back home in Spain I have three dogs – three Shiba Inus – called Rio, Koky and King."

What is your current favourite TV show?

"I watch a Spanish comedy series called ‘La que se avecina’, it’s so funny! I don’t watch any English TV programmes because for me it is too difficult. I can understand some of it although it is hard to follow it all completely. But it is a good way to learn English, I try to read the subtitles and it does help me to learn more."

What was the first football shirt you owned?

"When I was young I was a Real Madrid fan and so I had one of their shirts, I think my first one had Zidane on the back."

What are your nicknames in the squad?

"I don’t have any really - the players just call me Pedro or Porro!"

What was your first position in football?

"I was a striker! When I first started playing when I was small, I played as a striker and scored lots of goals. I remember my first game I scored five goals! After that, I was played as a winger and then I moved back to defence. As a professional, I have always been a defender although at Sporting I was a wing-back so I did get forward more."

When did you last get a haircut?

"Yesterday! I like the routine of getting my haircut every week and I always think if you look good, you play good!"

When did you last cook and what was it?

"I always cook the day before a home game and tend to always make salmon, rice and tomatoes, it’s good for my preparation for the game. I don’t cook every day but I enjoy it when I do."

When was the happiest moment of your life?

"I would say it was when I was at Sporting and we won the Portuguese League. It was such an amazing moment, to experience that feeling with the fans, it was really special."

When was the last time you cried?

"Probably in January last year when I said goodbye to my team-mates and friends at Sporting as I was leaving there to come to London to join Spurs."
