Cristian Romero and Giovani Lo Celso helped Argentina begin their defence of the Copa America with a 2-0 win over Canada in the USA in the early hours of Friday morning.
Defender ‘Cuti’ played the full game in Atlanta, Georgia, while attacking midfielder Gio was the first player off the bench for Argentina, replacing Angel Di Maria in the 68th minute.
Julian Alvarez and substitute Lautaro Martinez scored in the second half to secure the three points, giving their nation the ideal start in Group A.
Argentina next face Chile in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
