Giovani Lo Celso was in action from the start as Argentina made it three wins out of three in the group stage of the Copa America in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The midfielder completed 66 minutes against Peru while Cristian Romero was an unused substitute as a second-half brace from Lautaro Martinez gave their side a 2-0 win in Miami, Florida.
Argentina were already assured of their place in the next round after beating Canada and Chile in their opening two games in Group A.
They’ll now meet Ecuador in the quarter-finals in Houston, Texas, in the early hours of Friday morning (2am UK time).
