Yang Min-Hyeok set to start against Spurs - live on SPURSPLAY

Tue 30 July 2024, 17:30|Tottenham Hotspur

New signing Yang Min-Hyeok is set to start for Team K League in our Coupang Play Series fixture on Wednesday.

Days on from reaching an agreement to join us from K League 1 side Gangwon FC in January, 2025, subject to work permit and international clearance, you will now be able to watch the teenage winger in action first hand live on SPURSPLAY* when he faces his new team-mates at the Seoul World Cup Stadium (kick-off 12pm UK).

The 18-year-old progressed through the K League Under-18 Championship to become a first team regular at Gangwon this season - contributing eight goals and four assists in 25 appearances in 2024, recently adding to his tally with a goal in a 4-2 win over Jeonbuk last time out.

Midway through his debut professional season, his form for the Korean top flight side - one that is Heung-Min Son's hometown club - has helped them mount a title challenge as they currently sit two points behind leaders Gimcheon Sangmu in second with eight games remaining.

After meeting Ange Postecoglou in the Korean capital of Seoul during his medical, Yang will have the chance to acquaint himself with Sonny and the rest of our squad on tour as he looks set to be in the starting XI for our opponents following their head coach Park Tae-ha's comments in his press conference.

Speaking in his first interview with the Club on Sunday (28 July), Yang admitted he will try his best to show his best when he joins in the new year but, for now, his first opportunity to show Spurs fans what he can offer will come tomorrow live on SPURSPLAY - subscribe today!
