Lankshear signs new contract

We are delighted to announce that Will Lankshear has signed a new contract with the Club that will run until 2029.

The 19-year-old centre-forward joined us from Sheffield United in 2022 and after spending the 2022/23 season with our Under-18s, was in blistering form for our Under-21s last term, scoring 32 goals in all competitions as we won the Premier League 2 title.

Leading the line throughout the campaign, Will contributed 18 goals to help Wayne Burnett's side finish first in the initial league phase of the season, before adding another five as we won the play-offs, including a brace in the final against Sunderland at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in May.

Shortlisted for Premier League 2 Player of the Month on three separate occasions, winning the award in January, his performances led to him being named overall Premier League 2 Player of the Season.

Will also burst onto the international stage last term, being called up by England Under-19s for the first time in November and scoring in each of his first three games.
