It was a night to remember for Jessica Naz on Friday evening as she made her senior international debut for England in their 2-1 victory over Republic of Ireland in the penultimate game of their EURO 2025 qualifiers.
The 23-year-old forward, who completed her fifth season with Club last term, scoring seven goals in all competitions, came off the bench in the 71st minute with the score at 2-0 to earn her first cap for the Lionesses.
Replacing Alessia Russo at Norwich City’s Carrow Road, our number seven made an instant impact on her debut as, just four minutes after entering the pitch, Jess charged down a Courtney Brosnan clearance and saw the ball smash against the woodwork.

Jess, who also reached a century of Club appearances last season, received her maiden call-up to the senior squad in last month’s round of fixture, but did not feature on the pitch in the double-header against France.
Russo and a penalty from Georgia Stanway put England in control in Norfolk and, despite a late goal from the visitors, Sarina Wiegman’s side held on to an important three points in their EURO 2025 qualifying group to put them within touching distance of securing a place at next summer’s tournament finals.
The reigning European Champions are currently second in their and would just need a point in their away fixture to Sweden on Tuesday (6pm) to qualify for the tournament in Switzerland.
