Morris completes move

We are delighted to announce the signing of defender Ella Morris.

The England youth international joins following the expiration of her contract with Southampton, with a deal that runs until 2027.

Ella, 21, joined the Saints at the age of 14 and, after progressing through their academy system, was promoted to the first team during the 2018/19 campaign, stepping up from Under-16 level to be named Southampton’s Women’s Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season the following term.

The defender also helped Southampton earn promotion to the FA Women’s Championship for the first time in their history in May, 2022 and then made 23 appearances last season as the Saints finished fourth to secure their best-ever finish in England’s second tier.

Since making her senior debut at 17 years old, Ella recorded 117 appearances for the south coast club and scored 14 goals in that time.

On the international stage, she has represented England throughout the younger age groups and most recently in the Under-23s, starring alongside Jess Naz.
