It turned out to be a quite evening for our players in the final round of the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 qualifying campaign on Tuesday evening.

Eveliina Summanen earned her 64th cap for Finland and completed 90 minutes, while Olga Ahtinen was a second half substitute as they suffered a 4-0 defeat to Italy and ultimately saw them finish fourth in the group, seeing them relegated to League B but will compete in the play-offs for a place in next summer’s tournament in Switzerland.

Norway will also advance to the play-offs as a 1-1 draw with Netherlands saw them finish third in the group, with Celin Bizet an unused substitute for Hege Riise’s side.

Jess Naz and Matilda Vinberg both remained on the bench for England and Sweden respectively in the encounter in Gothenbury, Sweden, as the goalless draw saw the Lionesses automatically qualify for EURO 2025.

Goalkeeper Barbora Votikova did not feature for Czech Republic as they were defeated 2-0 by Denmark.

In league B, forward Martha Thomas started and completed 70 minutes for Scotland as they recorded a 1-0 win over Serbia, ending the qualifying campaign top of their group and will compete in the play-offs. That was her 38th cap for her country.

Luana Buhler earned her 54th cap for Switzerland in their 3-0 victory over Azerbaijan, with the defender completing the full 90 minutes in Lausanne, Switzerland, and helped her country keep a clean sheet.
