Martha Thomas, Eveliina Summanen, Luana Bühler all started for their national teams in EURO 2025 qualifying on Friday evening.

Martha started and completed 72 minutes as Scotland secured a 2-0 win over Slovakia after a brace from Claire Emslie. It was her 26th cap for her country.

Midfielder Eveliina played a full 90 minutes for Finland as they came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw against Norway, with Celin Bizet a late substitute for The Lions. Guro Reiten opened the scoring on seven minutes before AC Milan’s Emma Koivisto grabbed the leveller in the eighth minute of injury time to rescue a point.

Earning her 53rd cap, Luana also completed the full match as Switzerland recorded a 2-0 victory against Turkey and resulted in them winning their EURO 2025 qualifying group, securing promotion back to League A of the UEFA Women’s Nations League.

Elsewhere, Jess Naz made her senior England debut at Norwich City’s Carrow Road as she was a second half substitute in their 2-1 win over Republic of Ireland, while Matilda Vinberg also came off the bench in the final half an hour of game in Sweden’s 2-1 defeat to France.

Goalkeeper Barbora Votikova was an unused substitute as Czech Republic came from a goal down to stun world champions, Spain, beating them 2-1 in Chomutov, Czech Republic.
