“A dream come true” – Naz on her international debut

Jessica Naz was delighted to make her senior international debut on Friday evening as England secured an important 2-1 win over Republic of Ireland in their EURO 2025 qualifiers.
Following an impressive campaign in our colours last term, scoring seven goals in all competitions and registering four assists, our number seven was rewarded by Head Coach Sarina Wiegman with her first cap, coming on as a second half substitute at Norwich City's Carrow Road.
Earning her maiden call-up to the national team's senior side in May, 2024, it highlighted another momentous occasion for Jess at the age of 23, from scoring the goal that sealed us promotion to the Women's Super League in 2019 to stepping out on the pitch as a Lionesses player.
Entering the fray in the 71st minute with her nation leading 2-0 in their EURO 2025 qualifier, Jess nearly made an instant impact and was close to opening her account on the international stage, closing down goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan’s clearance and saw the ball hit the woodwork.
Reflecting on her debut on her official Instagram account, Jess said…
“A dream come true 🤩"
