Heung-Min Son is back home! As always, our skipper received an enthusiastic welcome back to Seoul from fans out in force at Incheon International Airport on Sunday afternoon as we embark on the second week of our Asia tour.

A hero here in Korea, where he captains his national team and is now up to 127 caps, Sonny was greeted by a sea of flashing lights as he walked through arrivals with him team-mates, before posing for photos with the Korean flag with Yves Bissouma, Archie Gray, Ben Davies and James Maddison.

He will now prepare with the squad for two matches in Korea, starting with Team K League on Wednesday (12noon UK, 8pm local) and then FC Bayern on Saturday (12noon UK, 8pm local) – both at the Seoul World Cup Stadium and both live on SPURSPLAY.

Naturally proud to lead his team back to Korea, where we toured in 2022, Sonny firstly spoke in glowing terms about our time in Japan after our 3-2 win against J1 League champions Vissel Kobe at the Japan National Stadium on Saturday.

Speaking to SPURSPLAY, Sonny said: “I was really looking to coming to Japan, it was a fantastic experience, amazing fans, amazing facilities, amazing food, all good, all fantastic, but going home with the boys is another level.

"I’m looking forward to that, can’t wait to see all our lovely fans, a lovely stadium, also lovely teams we’re playing against, as well. We’ve got to make sure we’re fit and show a good performance for the fans who I’m sure are looking forward to seeing us. I’m very proud... it’s the second time I’m coming to Korea with the boys, and I hope we have another success and amazing experience there again. See you soon, Korea!”
