Ange Postecoglou and Heung-Min Son faced the media on Tuesday ahead of our pre-season match against Team K League on Wednesday (12noon UK).

Speaking at the host venue, the Seoul World Cup Stadium in the Korean capital, Ange and Sonny answered questions from the local and international media as we looked ahead to the first of our Coupang Play Series fixtures.

Here's what the duo had to say...

Sonny was first asked asked about how it felt returning to his homeland as captain of our Club.

Our skipper said: "It's been two years since I last visited my home country with the team. I feel very privileged. It's a great honour. It's always a great honour to bring the team to where I am from. Coming back to Korea, everyone has shown a lot of love. Everyone has welcomed us so well. It's a great happiness and, to be able to play another match with my team-mates on home soil. It's amazing. Thank you for all the love and hopefully we can play a great match tomorrow!"

Ange Postecoglou was then asked about our new signing Yang Min-Hyeok.

Ange said: "I am delighted to have him as part of the Club. he's someone that was identified by our scouting department. He's a young, talented player and we're always looking, not just for the now but the future and he's shown great promise. I'm looking forward to having him as part of the Club once he's finished with his commitments with his club now."

Sonny was also asked about the signing of his compatrriot.

Sonny said: "I haven't known him for long. What I've told him is the most important thing is to focus on his current club. I also told him that while he is doing everything for his current club, he should prepare well for his life in England. Like the manager said, I'm very excited to have him in the Club."

Ange was then asked for comment on our incredible welcome to Korea.

Ange: "Obviously, we had a fantastic welcome. We know how admired Sonny is in his home country so it's a privilege for us to be able to share that with him. We can see the love that people have for him. I think it goes beyond the player he is, it's the kind of person he is. As I say, we're privileged to share that with him. I think it was a special occasion for the players, the staff, for everyone to experience that. We're looking forward today to training in front of a big crowd and the game tomorrow. We really owe it to that support that we put on a good performance because the love and support they have for Sonny flows through to the Football Club and we feel privileged in that."
