A February signing from Swedish Allsvenskan side Djurgarden, the midfielder linked up with the squad for the first time earlier this month and has now been assigned his squad number.
A shirt number most recently worn by long-serving defender Eric Dier, the number has been worn by 11 different players so far in the 30 years since squad numbers were first assigned back in the 1993/94.
Supporters should note that all other squad numbers remain subject to change, with the full finalised list to be confirmed when the Club submits its final squad list to the Premier League prior to the opening weekend of the 2024/25 season. Wearer of the number 21 at his former side Djurgarden, he completed the campaign with the the Swedish top flight outfit before reporting for his first day as a Spurs player on July 6.
Moving to a new club, a new country and a new culture, there is of course so much for Lucas to acclimatise to as thew 18-year-old begins a new life here in north London, but it is clear he is relishing the challenge.
Speaking to us exclusively last week, the Swede spoke of the raised intensity he had noticed in his first few training sessions under Ange Postecoglou compared to what he had experienced in his homeland but it a new experience he is clearly enjoying and something he is eager to experience more of.
