It’s our first official game of pre-season this evening (Wednesday 17 July) as we head north of the border to take on Scottish Premiership side Heart of Midlothian (kick-off 7pm UK).

The match represents an early chance for Ange Postecoglou and his coaching staff to get minutes into the players while for Hearts, the contest forms part of their 150th anniversary celebrations.

Tonight’s match is available to watch live on SPURSPLAY, kick-off 7pm.

What is the team news?

Ange Postecoglou will take a large squad to Edinburgh for the game.

A number of first team regulars will be available for selection, while several younger players will also be around the group.

The seven senior players who featured at this summer’s international tournaments – Cristian Romero, Giovani Lo Celso, Rodrigo Bentancur, Micky van de Ven, Radu Dragusin, Guglielmo Vicario and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – are yet to return to training and thus won’t feature tonight.

Who is the referee?

Matthew MacDermid will take charge of this evening’s game at Tynecastle Park.

He will be assisted by David Roome and Calum Spence.

Michael McCart will be the fourth official.

What colours will the teams be playing in?

Hosts Hearts will be wearing a maroon strip with their goalkeeper in a patterned light blue kit.

We’ll be wearing our brand new 2024/25 home kit for the first time in a senior game – Lilywhite shirts with navy blue sleeves, navy blue shorts and white socks.

Our goalkeeper will play in yellow.

What will the weather conditions be like?

It’s set to remain dry and bright going into the evening in Edinburgh, with temperatures at around 19 degrees.
