Club Ambassadors Ledley King & Ossie Ardiles continued their cultural tour of Asia by meeting members of one of our local supporters’ clubs at The Hyundai Seoul shopping mall.

Three representatives from South Korea Spurs met with our legends at the shopping centre and led them in a tasting of a series of quintessential Korean snacks.

The mall is one of the most famous landmarks in Seoul and is located in Yeouido, the main financial district in the city. It is filled with some of the world’s most iconic fashion brands, and has even featured in a number of episodes of renowned K-drama series “Queens of Tears”. In addition to brands, K-pop artists such as aespa, NewJeans, and BTS have opened up exhibitions at the location.

The group met up in Sounds Forest, a small arboretum in the mall where guests can enjoy the warm sunlight streaming through the glass ceiling and hear the sound of birds calling in the foliage. Sounds Forest also hosts the mall’s annual Christmas village.

Ossie and Ledley joined our fan club members by engaging in a discussion to reflect on their careers at the Club before tasting the snacks. These included:

  • Choco Pie – a small cake consisting of two small round layers with marshmallow filling and a chocolate covering
  • Korean red ginseng – made by steaming and drying fresh white ginseng, this gel is said to relieve stress and improve memory
  • Turtle chips – one of Korea’s favourite snacks, which gets its name from its unique shape
  • Korean banana milk – packaged in a unique bottle design reminiscent of a traditional Korean jar, this drink is a favourite among locals and international visitors

Embracing local culture has always been an integral part of the Club’s overseas tours, and we are delighted to take the opportunity to engage with our fans all over the world and show our appreciation for their support.
