Club representatives attended a welcome reception at the British Embassy in Seoul during our pre-season visit to Korea.

Executive Director Donna-Maria Cullen, Chief Revenue Office Ryan Norys and Club Ambassador Ossie Ardiles joined the breakfast reception alongside around 50 senior figures from the British diplomatic and business communities in Seoul.

The group were welcomed by the British Ambassador to South Korea, Colin Crooks, before the Club presented a cockerel statue and a 2024/25 home shirt to the embassy in acknowledgment of our warm welcome to the country.

British Ambassador to South Korea, Colin Crooks, said: “I am thrilled to welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Korea. Football is a shared passion in both our countries. The presence of a world-class English team like Spurs and the huge popularity of their captain Heung-Min Son in both the UK and Korea set a fantastic example of how cultural and sporting ties can bring British and Korean people closer together. We believe that this visit will further strengthen the bonds of friendship between the UK and Korea, both on and off the pitch.”

Donna-Maria Cullen, Executive Director, Tottenham Hotspur, said: “It was an honour to be hosted by the Ambassador at the British Embassy in Seoul. This is our fourth visit to South Korea and once again we have been overwhelmed by the warm welcome we have received.

“This year’s visit takes on extra significance with it being the first time the Club plays in Korea with Heung-Min Son as its captain. The incredible reception he gets here underlines what a fantastic ambassador he is, for both our Club and his country.

“Throughout our time here, the Club will be embracing Korean culture, supporting charitable initiatives and delivering coaching clinics for young players, as well as engaging with our ever-growing, passionate Korean fan base.

“Our visit will further showcase the power football has to bring people together from across the globe and all walks of life.”
