Tue 23 July 2024, 07:20|Tottenham Hotspur

Our Under-21s are training in Spain this week as part of their pre-season programme.

Wayne Burnett’s side have travelled to La Finca Resort in Alicante for some warm weather work on the pitches as well as team bonding exercises as preparations for the new campaign step up a gear.

Damola Ajayi, Yusuf Akhamrich, Will Andiyapan, Pele Arganese-McDermott, Tyrell Ashcroft, Archie Baptiste, Leo Black, Carey Bloedorn, Dante Cassanova, Oliver Irow, Nile John, Josh Keeley, Maeson King, Elliot Krasniqi, Rio Kyerematen, Jahziah Linton, Max McKnight, Callum Olusesi, Max Robson, James Rowswell, Yago Santiago, Jude Soonsup-Bell and Jaden Williams have all made the trip.

We had a double session on Monday, we’ve got another one today, it’s obviously challenging to acclimatise to the heat as well but it’s all part of our pre-season work.

“It’s a camp that’s allowed us to further integrate the new younger players in the group with the existing squad,” said Wayne.

“It’s allowed us to train together as a group in incredibly warm weather – which is nice – and spend some time together as a squad off the pitch.

“We had a double session on Monday, we’ve got another one today, it’s obviously challenging to acclimatise to the heat as well but it’s all part of our pre-season work.

“It’s been really important to get the time in on the training pitches as we move towards the start of the new season.”
