Werner and Dragusin assigned Legacy Numbers

Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin have been assigned their Legacy Numbers after our January recruits made their Premier League debuts in our 2-2 draw at Manchester United.

A Club initiative launched in November, 2023, which sees every player in our history that has made a senior competitive appearance for us assigned their own number according to the date of their debut, Timo has been assigned number 881 while Radu takes number 882.

Timo, who signed for the Club on loan from German outfit RB Leipzig on Tuesday, was given his full debut at Old Trafford, starting on the left of our front three and playing 83 minutes before he was replaced by Bryan Gil. A player who is no stranger to the Premier League, it was a rather encouraging first outing for the Germany international in Lilywhite as he provided the assist for Rodrigo Bentancur's second-half equaliser.

Radu, meanwhile, started the game amongst our substitutes. A Thursday arrival from Genoa, the centre-back was eased into life in English football as he came off the bench for the final five minutes of a frenetic clash in the north west.
