Ange Postecoglou is hopeful Ryan Sessegnon will return to training next week after recently returning from almost 11 months on the sidelines.

'Sess' stepped back into action off the bench in our 1-0 win against Burnley in the third round of the FA Cup on 5 January, but wasn't available for our Premier League clash at Manchester United last time out.

Asked about the versatile left-sided defender/midfielder in Thursday's pre-match press conference ahead of our FA Cup fourth round clash against City on Friday (8pm UK), Ange responded: "He's still in rehab. We're hoping Sess will re-join us next week if all goes well. We've just got to be a bit more careful with him because this is not a shorter term thing or even something that's happened this season, it's something he's been carrying, so we're guided by the medical team as to how much we can push him at this stage."
